New job
Camilo moved to another section....the coolest section ever! He works at Marine Corps Air Facility in the hanger. It is awesome. I went to pick him up yesterday and as I was driving through the parking lot there is stop signs for jet crossing....how cool is that? Anyway I parked and realized I forgot my cell at home. I was a little scared to go get him because I wasn't sure if I would get yelled at or not. But as soon as I walked in there was a Navy Jet...soooooo cool. His office is on the second floor of the hanger. Another cool thing is that he is right next to the ocean.....jets and oceans? He is living life! Oh and today he is flying around the islands because the ghost flyer had extra seats. I am soooooo jealous.
My moms friend bought me a ticket to fly to Kauai with them! I can't wait! We get to explore the island all day....just the girls and Kauai.....should be good times! In other news..I updated my myspace page again. New profile pic was taken the other day! I was sick of old pics.

Computers suck!
So last Thursday I was ready to kill someone or something. Why is it that your computer always seems to act up before an important day or when you need some information? Computer was acting fine on Thurs morning....buuuut by Thurs afternoon, I could not access any of my secure websites...no bank, no school, no yahoo e-mail, no blogger....nada! I was beyond pissed. So I called my ISP Roadrunner and they went in circles with me..trying to give me a new IP address saying mine must have been dropped. Didn't work. Gave me Compaq's number...I get some guy from like India who says" Whooooo we can not help you because your warranty has expired...but we can offer you a new warranty for about $119.00!" Okay he was obviously smoking something good.
Call my schools online tech support and this guy was actually helpful...but couldn't solve the problem. Call the ISP people back they give me number to Microsoft Tech Support. I call them..they are closed. I call first thing in the morning here and get assigned a case number...and then I am transferred to wait one hour and 15 minutes. I hang up...livid at this point and desperate! I call back and they put me through the same number but I get a response in a half hour. The person I got was wonderful and resolved my issue by simply removing my Norton Firewall from the computer. All of that for a stinkin Firewall. Turns out we had two on our computer..oops! Anyway computers suck but I depend on them for everything so they are a necessary evil!

Three long weeks
Camilo leaves tomorrow at 2:00 in the morning for three weeks. He is only going to the big island of Hawaii...buuuuut still.
Me and Matthew have some stuff planned..beach, zoo, aquarium and movies. I don't think we will be totally bored.
I talked with Aunt today and I had no idea how out of touch I was with the family. She got hit by a car in May....I had no idea. My cousin Tanya is pregnant (six months) I had no idea. I think I got the hint that I need to call home more..haha.
My mom is coming out here for Christmas and I am so excited! This will be the first Christmas that I have spent with her in like eight years. Usually we went to Camilo's house in Jersey for Christmas because it was closer to Virginia and we went to my house for Thanksgiving (since thanksgiving really isn't a Colombian thing). And the past two years we stayed here on the Island because it is so much cheaper than flying home. Plus there is something special about wearing flip flops and swimsuits in December. :)

Scary Sunday
I thought I was dreaming this morning when there was this horrible rumbling sound and a lot of shaking going on. Seriously scary stuff.
I grabbed Matthew and immediately started packing some things to prepare for the worst..like a tsunami. The hardest part was that the power was out shortly after the earthquake and nobody knew what the hell was going on. We had to sit in our cars in order to get information..cell phones weren't working. It was insane.
But we made the best of it. We grilled eggs on the grill at 7:30 with our neighbors, later we cooked hamburgers for lunch and steak for dinner. It was one big grilling day since our freaking power was out for more than 12 hours. But it was an interesting day and one that I will most likely not forget for a long time. Yes and one of my neighbors started drinking at 8:00....I know that the church service that was going on across the street and was forced to sit outside were thinking that we were all a bunch of hellions. We deemed today earthquake party 06.

Wild Saturday

It was a crazy weekend on our street. Camilo had a get together with his Marines Friday...we cooked out, drank and we were all serenaded by two mexicans and a Colombian...good times. Saturday my neighbors had a party. It is a really good thing they live right next to us. I had four martinis...and I was pretty buzzed. I kept spilling my drink on me, the floor..pretty much everywhere. But my neighbors were completely drunk...they were the first ones to pass out before anyone even left. Hilarious..good times!
The really nice thing was that after they passed out....we all cleaned their house so they wouldn't have to wake up to a messy house the next day...
I'm sure they were very appreciative. :)

My pics of daytime tv stars

Today I went to Honolulu with my friends Sara, Ryanne, Penelope, Angie and Joyce to watch a live taping of Soap Talk. My big tv debut airs next month..lol. It was right on the beach and it was smoking hot! Bob Guiney the former Bachelor was there with his wife Rebecca Budig, and some hotties from daytime tv. Here is my pics..we had seats right by the stage: It is crazy the stars look so much smaller in person (I guess the camera really does add 10 pounds). Live tapings are a royal pain in the butt...a lot of retakes. Ok audience clap now...audience yell now..audience say oooh, awwww...! But it was fun! In other news I start school again for my Bachelors in Human Resources in Nov. So much for my year off!

Not much to say!
I haven't blogged lately, probably because I don't have much to whine about it.
I kinda feel bad for missing my ten year hs reunion....but hey I saved a lot of money.
Camilo is in the midst of training left and right for Iraq in March. I am praying that he will not go....I am desperately hoping that he will get transferred before then.
I don't want anything to happen to him and Iraq just ups the ante of that possibility..which scares me.
Anyway that is it for now...hopefully I will have something a little lighter to write about after this weekend :)

Jaime and Brent had the best time here in Hawaii and we enjoyed their company. Here are some pics of their vacay. Some of them have me and matthew in them.

Waterpark Adventure

We headed out to the Hawaiian Adventures Waterpark on Sunday for the very first time since we moved here two years ago...it was so much fun! Matthew had a blast going down all the slides and I had a blast going down the cliffhanger.....okay it was a little scary. You basically free fall six stories. It happend really fast, and I was like in a daze for a couple of minutes. I told Camilo that he had to do it as well...so I got a picture of him coming down putting his hands in front of his face! Too funny! Here is some pics from our little adventure, of course I am not in any of them because I was playing camera woman! The pic on the bottom is from the website to give you a good idea on how freaky the thing is. The rest of the pics I took.
Oh and Matthew acquired a girlfriend while there.....:) Good times!

Too much time!
Now that school is finito, i have too much time on my hands!!! I found myself cleaning the floors in our living room square by square...bootcamp style...scary. All the things I wanted to do while Camilo was on vacay went out the door because of my wisdom teeth and dry socket. I still have it and I am getting soooo annoyed.
Camilo's brother Ruben is going to Iraq in a week. We are worried about him, but we think he will be okay, he is in the air force...so they have more cushy jobs than Marines do. Still it is a scary place to be.

Projects
Camilo has been on vacation since August 11th and unfortunately we haven't done much with our time because of my dry socket that is still bothering me. We stayed at a hotel on Sunday in Waikiki and went swimming in the pool and got stupid with some wine. Monday I was feeling like total crap because the pain in mouth was coming back and the wine made me kind of sick to my stomach, but we hung out at the beach and helped Matthew build sand castles. Monday night I didn't get any sleep because I was sick all night, so Tuesday I slept half the day. Camilo has these projects that he is working on (a huge toy chest for Matthew and a stand for me) so I have been to Home Depot more times than I care to mention. Last night I helped him sand some wood and later stain it. I asked him "How many wives do you think would actually stay up until 2:00 am to help their husbands sand and stain wood?" He said "A lot actually." I was like "dream on senor." My friend Jaime is coming next week..I can't wait to see her! My mom is flying out for Christmas...which I am so excited about. I miss my family so much!

Unbearable!!!!!
So i went to the oral surgeon on Sat to get all of my wisdom teeth yanked....bad bad bad juju. Two were partially impacted the other two were completely impacted. I was sedated and I don't remember anything...
However it is now tuesday and I still have major swelling and major pain. I think I am a victim of dry socket, which I called the dentist this morning because I was in unbearable pain and guess what they don't open until 12:30 in the afternoon. I just want my face to go back to normal, I look like a chipmunk on drugs....it totally sucks!

That one place
Saturday we went to the beach and I went snorkeling. I snorkeled in the cove. Now I haven't snorkeled in a very long time but while I was in the ocean, I felt the world disappear. It is an awesome feeling! I think everyone should have at least one thing that makes them feel totally at peace and where they can escape from the rest of the world. Snorkeling is mine. :)
Camilo has the a couple of weeks off, so I am looking forward to being a complete beach bum, since my last day of school was yesterday....can I get an Amen?
I am going to enjoy myself this week, because next Saturday I am not going to be a happy camper after I get my wisdom teeth extracted. It wouldn't be so bad, buuut they are impacted. My teeth hate me! I guess I am going to look like a chipmunk for a couple of days :(

A difference in opinion
My friend Claudia had her baby Paulina on Sunday. We went over to her house last night to see the new baby. Camilo is crazy about babies, especially little babies. I am kind of the opposite. They are so small and tiny and they cry all day, all night. I like Matthew's age, he can tell me exactly what he wants and doesn't want, we can just throw him in the car and go, he loves to watch movies at the theater and is quiet the whole time.
I know that Camilo has wanted another child since we had Matthew. I feel extremely guilty because I am not ready, I don't know if I ever will be. I keep telling him that I would probably have to have a c-section again and I don't want that. Not only that I would have to worry about losing weight all over again. I was miserable after I had Matthew, I felt like I was in somebody else's body. But there is also that another baby brings a lot of extra stress, and money. I am not about to stress myself out any more than necessary. I just want to know where it says that if you have a family you have to have more than one kid? Sometimes I feel like I am being selfish, it is just such a touchy subject for me. I am just whining :(

Beaching it up

Saturday we headed to the grand opening of Tiki Island. It's this new bumper boats/mini golf place a couple of blocks from our house. It was sooooo unbelievably crowded. But we suffered the disney land like lines for the bumper boats. The boats had water gun things attached so you can drench everyone around you. My mission....soak Camilo! I completely soaked him because the whole time we were in line "I don't want to get wet, especially my sunglasses." Ha ha! After that excitement we headed to the beach where the water was completely crazy. That didn't stop Camilo from getting in the water with Matthew despite the do not swim signs. Our friends Jairo and Claudia were also there with their son Tomas (a year younger than Matthew). Claudia is 9 months pregnant and still skinnier than me..lol!

Virus City!
We had such a busy weekend and now we are all very sick people! Camilo has allergies, Matthew has a bad stomach virus (his first illness ever)! I don't feel so hot myself.
Friday me and five other ladies went to Ruby Tuesdays for margaritas and appetizers. We are such pigs because we managed to buy all the appetizers and split it between all of us. There was no room on the table.....it was scary. Anyway while we were at Ruby Tuesdays, Jeff, Camilo and Christian were in charge of five kids..lol! Camilo looked like he was going to drop on the floor from exhaustion.
Saturday we went to a B-day party for Matthew's friend...Matthew. There was at least 16 kids there....germ city! That was the night Matthew started getting sick. We went to watch Monster House and Matthew was fine, but the minute we pulled in the driveway, he threw up everywhere, it was bad. We had to take his car seat out and spray it down. I figured that it was just motion sickness, he has thrown up in the car many times..but never in the house. Sunday we had a baby shower/cook out to attend and on our way to buy a gift it was throw up in the car part 2. This time we were on the H3 and couldn't turn around...it sucked! Anyway he seemed fine the rest of the day. BUUUUt today he threw up like three times in the house. I can't handle it....I hate seeing him sick :( So we are feeling sick and I don't think I will be leaving the house this week.

Crazy weather
When I say crazy weather, I am not talking about Hawaii. I am talking about the wonderful mid-west. Every time I hear that they are about to have another storm, I freak out just a little. I had no clue what was going on last night in the midwest, because I was out enjoying a really good steak, celebrating my b-day.
I woke up and checked the internet and saw the headlines....I felt very scared and worried. I called my mom and she was okay..thank-god. They didn't lose their power or anything. I don't know what is going on with this crazy planet, but I think it is very angry with us! I hope everyone that I know in the midwest is okay....
