Not Much
I wish I had something exciting to talk about...but I don't. I am swamped with homework this week (wait, that is every week). Camilo is working late (nothing unusual there). He always works late, he is in charge of his office. I am glad I don't have his job! I think I need a break from everything, the husband, Matthew and homework. I need some me time.

Shopping is a girl's therapy!
![](http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/6135/2346/320/DSC02438.0.jpg)
Sat me and Yolanda (yo-yo) went shopping at Ala Moana. NO husbands, or toddlers! Heaven. We went to Lucky where she convinced me to not look at the price tag of the jeans....but how they fit. Camilo had no complaints. Then we hit Sephora where I convinced her to buy Margarita Hot Salt Scrub...it smells just like Margaritas..yummy. It's like having a bar in your shower. After that we hit Armani Exchange, Burberry and my favorite store AE. Oh and we had lunch at Bubba Gumps! We were gone for five hours.....it was sooo nice! Later that night Camilo's Marines came over for a little get together. Camilo served up shots of Absente.... The guys looked like they wanted to puke!! Absente is extremely potent. I have never tried it...but the smell of it is enough for me to stay away. Anyway we grilled outside and chilled in the rain...:)

Welcome back whitey!
Seriously I have bitched and moaned about all this rain we have been having. But now I must bitch and moan about something else.....my tan is gone. The lush golden skin has now been replaced with pasty whiteness. Thanks alot rain! I am now the poster child of my mid-west roots. (Sigh).

Freaking Weather!
Okay I am seriously sick of rain! Yesterday was like the first day in four weeks that we saw sunshine. Here is what we are dealing with in Oahu:
Issued at: 3:04 PM HST 3/21/06, expires at: 4:15 AM HST 3/22/06
Flash Flood Watch now in effect through late Thursday night,
The flash flood watch is now in effect for
All islands.
Through late Thursday night
A kona low northwest of will produce heavy rain over the islands for
the next few days. In many areas, The Ground Is still saturated from
recent heavy rains, And It Will not take a lot of rain to cause flash
flooding.
People on all islands should be prepared for flash flooding, but the
risk will be greatest on kauai and oahu. These islands are closest to the
kona low and the ground remains saturated from the heavy rain of the
past few weeks.
Prepare now for the possibility of flash flooding in your area. Find
out if you are located below a dam or slope that could give way.
Take quick action if a warning is issued or you observe heavy rain
Nice.

Life is Fragile
Camilo's mom told us last month that she has a small tumor in her brain suppressing her pituitary gland. She had the surgery today at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical. She seems to be doing good, still in recovery.
The older I get..I realize more and more how fragile life is. Getting older is scary for me..I want to stay young forever! I have learned from her that always act how you feel not your age! In that case I am 18! :)

Movies I love to watch again and again.....
My favorite movie to watch over and over.....is (drumroll please): Office Space
This movie is sooo funny anyone that has ever worked in a office can relate to this movie. Stupid printers with paper jams!
The Notebook....I admit I cry every time. I can't help it :(
Garden State..very funny movie (a bit crazy). Awesome soundtrack.
Mean Girls...
Napoleon Dynamite: Idiot! That guy is so freaking funny!
The Last Samurai...awesome action
Unfaithful....very steamy!
Maria Full of Grace: This is a good movie because it deals with drug trafficking from Colombia. This girls are used as human mules to transport the drugs from Col to the US. Subtitled but very good.
Top Gun....oldie but goodie.
Movies I liked at the theater last year:
The Chronicles of Narnia
War of the Worlds
Just Like Heaven
Memoirs of a Geisha
Harry Potter Goblet of Fire
JarHead (this was okay, but the bootcamp part was accurate) Drill Instructors love to ask you if you think they look good. There is no right answer..either way your screwed. This happend to me with a female DI....she was so scary looking I couldn't help but stare. "Recruit Smith, do you think I am pretty, do I look good, did I say you could look at me?" I don't remember what I said..probably something stupid. :)
Anyway I don't have time to watch many movies...so when I do it has to be something good.

Hangovers suck
It was ladies night last night. Amber, Yolanda, Deb, Aida, Karen, Jenny, Shawn and me. We went to Bubba Gump Shrimp in Ala Moana for dinner. Then it was off to Rumers. When we got there it was like nothing but old people. There was like this 50 year old grandma dancing in the cage......interesting. Anyway it picked up after a little bit and the young crowd was there to tear things up. I have a headache from hell today. 2 Mai Tai's, 2 Amaretto Sours, 2 shots of Red Headed Sluts and after that I don't remember what else. It was a wild night. Camilo was up waiting for me when I got home..good thing because I forgot my keys. He found me slumped at the door....

Wet Down/ Lock Down
So I have this thing tomorrow night with the ladies. We are going out to eat and then to Rumors night club at Ala Moana Center. I don't really feel like going :( But Camilo came home and told me that the Marine Corps was bringing back an old tradition and it was going to be tomorrow night. Most Marine Corps traditions involve lots and lots of alcohol. So anyway it is called a wet down/lock down. Basically it is a chance for Marines to go to the Enlisted Club and drink. Once they start drinking they lock the doors so no one can go anywhere. Sounds fun....if you like to be locked up with a bunch of drunken Marines.

Magic hands!
Before my husband left for North Carolina two months ago..he left me with a cordless mouse for the computer. He just wanted me to be more comfortable..since I am always doing homework. How sweet! Except I always forgot to charge the dang thing..so one day I just unplugged it and hooked the old mouse back up. Welllll he came back and one of the first things he asked was "Where is the cordless mouse?" I told him "It is laying around somewhere." He found it and decided to hook it up again....it didn't work. Go figure. So he hooked up the old mouse..it didn't work. He did something to where no mouse would work with our computer..it was snarled into some unimaginable mess. So at 10:30 last night..he says I am going to work to get some supplies to fix this. I said "Whatever." As soon as he left I crawled under the computer desk, unplugged the mouse, turned off the computer and plugged it back in. Hmmm it works fine for me. I called him and asked "So what was wrong with the black mouse?" I got some snide remark "it just doesn't work." Oh okay it works for me. "What did you do?" he asked. I told him and he says "But I did that!" This always happens with him. He just doesn't have my magic hands.......

Annoying Questions and Unsolicited Advice
Hmmm we have all been victims of annoying questions and unsolicited advice...we are probably also guilty of doing it. Here is some examples:
It starts out when you are single:
So when are you going to get a boyfriend/girlfriend? Come on does anyone really know the answer to as to when you will get a boyfriend or girlfriend...it just happens. I don't know, I think I will go out and get one in the next five minutes. It is as simple as ordering pizza...
Finally when you are dating someone:
So when are you going to get married? Does anyone really know at the beginning when they are going to get married or if they even want to?
When you are married:
So when are you going to have a baby? Again I think we will have one in the next five minutes...we will let you know.
When you have your first child:
So when are you going to have the next baby? NEXT BABY????? Come on I am still trying to adjust to this one.....three years later. They say " You should have children close together in age." Ummm too late for that. They say " You don't want your child to grow up all alone, do you?" Well he isn't all alone he has us.
