oops
Yeah, so we are going to be in Hawaii until next December..all thanks to me. I need to finish school and I don't want to move right in the middle of it. So my superhero husband went on a mission to get us extended. BIG MISTAKE! Monitors are the people who assign Marines to their next duty stations....Camilo talked to his today and she was pissssssed that he was asking for an extension so his wife (god forbid anyone trys to better themselves) can finish school. She gave us an extension (very reluctantly) and told him that we will go wherever the f*** the Marine Corps wants us to go next time. Can we say stuck out in the middle of nowhere??? I'm sooooo terrified of being in a shitty town with shitty people. Yep, next December is not going to be fun :(

New job
Camilo moved to another section....the coolest section ever! He works at Marine Corps Air Facility in the hanger. It is awesome. I went to pick him up yesterday and as I was driving through the parking lot there is stop signs for jet crossing....how cool is that? Anyway I parked and realized I forgot my cell at home. I was a little scared to go get him because I wasn't sure if I would get yelled at or not. But as soon as I walked in there was a Navy Jet...soooooo cool. His office is on the second floor of the hanger. Another cool thing is that he is right next to the ocean.....jets and oceans? He is living life! Oh and today he is flying around the islands because the ghost flyer had extra seats. I am soooooo jealous.
My moms friend bought me a ticket to fly to Kauai with them! I can't wait! We get to explore the island all day....just the girls and Kauai.....should be good times! In other news..I updated my myspace page again. New profile pic was taken the other day! I was sick of old pics.

Computers suck!
So last Thursday I was ready to kill someone or something. Why is it that your computer always seems to act up before an important day or when you need some information? Computer was acting fine on Thurs morning....buuuut by Thurs afternoon, I could not access any of my secure websites...no bank, no school, no yahoo e-mail, no blogger....nada! I was beyond pissed. So I called my ISP Roadrunner and they went in circles with me..trying to give me a new IP address saying mine must have been dropped. Didn't work. Gave me Compaq's number...I get some guy from like India who says" Whooooo we can not help you because your warranty has expired...but we can offer you a new warranty for about $119.00!" Okay he was obviously smoking something good.
Call my schools online tech support and this guy was actually helpful...but couldn't solve the problem. Call the ISP people back they give me number to Microsoft Tech Support. I call them..they are closed. I call first thing in the morning here and get assigned a case number...and then I am transferred to wait one hour and 15 minutes. I hang up...livid at this point and desperate! I call back and they put me through the same number but I get a response in a half hour. The person I got was wonderful and resolved my issue by simply removing my Norton Firewall from the computer. All of that for a stinkin Firewall. Turns out we had two on our computer..oops! Anyway computers suck but I depend on them for everything so they are a necessary evil!

Three long weeks
Camilo leaves tomorrow at 2:00 in the morning for three weeks. He is only going to the big island of Hawaii...buuuuut still.
Me and Matthew have some stuff planned..beach, zoo, aquarium and movies. I don't think we will be totally bored.
I talked with Aunt today and I had no idea how out of touch I was with the family. She got hit by a car in May....I had no idea. My cousin Tanya is pregnant (six months) I had no idea. I think I got the hint that I need to call home more..haha.
My mom is coming out here for Christmas and I am so excited! This will be the first Christmas that I have spent with her in like eight years. Usually we went to Camilo's house in Jersey for Christmas because it was closer to Virginia and we went to my house for Thanksgiving (since thanksgiving really isn't a Colombian thing). And the past two years we stayed here on the Island because it is so much cheaper than flying home. Plus there is something special about wearing flip flops and swimsuits in December. :)

Scary Sunday
I thought I was dreaming this morning when there was this horrible rumbling sound and a lot of shaking going on. Seriously scary stuff.
I grabbed Matthew and immediately started packing some things to prepare for the worst..like a tsunami. The hardest part was that the power was out shortly after the earthquake and nobody knew what the hell was going on. We had to sit in our cars in order to get information..cell phones weren't working. It was insane.
But we made the best of it. We grilled eggs on the grill at 7:30 with our neighbors, later we cooked hamburgers for lunch and steak for dinner. It was one big grilling day since our freaking power was out for more than 12 hours. But it was an interesting day and one that I will most likely not forget for a long time. Yes and one of my neighbors started drinking at 8:00....I know that the church service that was going on across the street and was forced to sit outside were thinking that we were all a bunch of hellions. We deemed today earthquake party 06.
